Everyone at my school has special shoes that they wear only indoors--usually plastic, shower shoe-style slip-ons for the men and platform, rhinestone patterned clogs for the women. Anyway, it means that the whole shoes-belong-on-feet relationship is not nealy as set as stone. Which can make it very strange every day when I look over at my vice principal and his apparently disembodied feet.
